Marge Nelk is a renowned illustrator. Her multi-layered digital compositions fascinate both children and adults. R Gallery has a selection of illustrations that have been created for adult books. Marge Nelk has been a great book lover since childhood: "For me, in addition to texts, pictures in books have always been very important.
Although I am no longer a child, I still like book illustrations, especially in "big" books. Pictures in books intended for adults may seem like a luxury, yet they can require a lot of extra work and otherwise require quite a bit of effort from lone wolf people, writers and artists. I have had the pleasure of being involved in the materialization of several books. I would like to promote this topic with my exhibition and encourage more books with pictures to be published for adult readers as well."
Marge Nelk (b. 1975) has graduated from the Faculty of Theology of the University of Tartu and the Tartu College of Art with a degree in photography.
He currently works as a freelance artist and illustrator and lives in Tartu, Supilinna.
